Dr. Deborah Greenspan has been a full-time instructor of Psychology at Montgomery County Community College since 2006. She holds advanced degrees in both Psychology and Education and earned her Ed.D. in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University in 2002. She has taught at such schools as Immaculata College, Burlington County Community College, and Penn State, Abington Campus. Dr. Greenspan currently teaches Introduction to Psychology and Developmental Psychology. She utilizes an interactive and applied approach that encourages student participation, and she incorporates technology and multi-media activities into her teaching. Dr. Greenspan’s research interests include cultural influences on development and the impact of students’ belief systems on their academic achievement. She co-authored a book entitled Making Good: How young people cope with moral dilemmas at work. In addition to her teaching duties at the College, Dr. Greenspan also serves as the Coordinator and Advisor for the Social Sciences degree program, and she has assumed leadership roles in such important areas as Assessment and the Middle States accreditation review process.
