The Board of Trustees at Montgomery County Community College is pleased to announce its 2010 slate of officers, as elected unanimously on Jan. 19 during the Board’s monthly meeting. The officers for 2010 are as follows:
Chair: Paul S. “Mike” Bitner (Salford Township)
Vice Chair: Anthony DiSandro (Whitpain Township)
Treasurer: Michael J. D’Aniello, Esq. (Borough of Norristown)
Secretary: Andrew B. Cantor (Cheltenham Township)
Assistant Secretary: Gertrude Mann (Lower Gwynedd Township)
Paul S. “Mike” Bitner has served as chairman of the College’s Board of Trustees since 2002. Since retiring as Vice President of Lemmon Pharmaceutical in 1970, he has been actively serving the community. He is the Director of the North Penn/Souderton Hall of Fame, and he sits on the Select Committee of the Souderton Area School District Hall of Fame. He has previously been involved as a member of the Souderton Area School Board, as Chairman of Industries with the United Way, as the Quakertown District Governor of the Pennsylvania Jaycees, and as a Rotarian.
Anthony DiSandro has served as vice chairman of the College’s Board of Trustees since 2002. He has dedicated his career to the banking and finance industry, rising through the ranks to the position of President, CEO and Director of PSB Bancorp, Inc. DiSandro is a founding member of the Alliance of Italian American Associations and the National Italian American Political Action Committee. He has also served as chairman of the St. Agnew Medical Center Foundation and on the Board of the St. Agnew Medical Center/Mercy Health East. He is a member of the Board of the Delaware Valley Regional Economic Development Corp., the Union League of Philadelphia, and the Pyramid Club of Philadelphia.
Michael J. D’Aniello, Esq. was appointed to the College’s Board of Trustees in 2001, and he has served as treasurer since 2004. A graduate of Montgomery County Community College, he was inducted into the College’s prestigious Alumni Hall of Fame in 2003 for his outstanding service to the community. D’Aniello has practiced law since 1983, and has been in private practice since 1989. is currently a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Royal Order of Barristers, the Widener University School of Law Alumni Board, and Visitation B.V.M. CYO Board. He is also a Managing Member of First Republic Abstract, LLC.
Andrew B. Cantor has served as secretary of the College’s Board of Trustees since 2003. He is a partner with Wisler, Pearlstein LLP, and he is active with a variety of organizations as a member of the Board of Trustees for Albert Einstein Hospital and Montgomery Hospital and as secretary of the Board of Trustees for New Regional Medical Center. He previously served as the president of the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Montgomery County Trial Lawyers Association, and the Board of Trustees for the Hedwig House, Inc. Cantor holds a B.A. from Trinity College and an L.L.B. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Gertrude Mann has served as assistant secretary of the College’s Board of Trustees since 2002. She has held the positions of chairperson of the Board and human resources representative for PM Fasteners, Inc. She holds a B.S. from Penn State University.
