The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs spearheaded a “Think Pink” campaign in recognition of February as Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The athletes raised a total of $626 through the sale of pink awareness bracelets and the collection of donations. All proceeds benefit Living Beyond Breast Cancer, an international non-profit breast cancer education and support organization based locally in Montgomery County.
Athletes from the Mustangs women’s basketball team and coaches presented Vicki Klopp, development assistant for Living Beyond Breast Cancer, with a check during half-time on Feb. 1.
