Montgomery County Community College will hold a free open house for the spring semester of the “Starting a Successful Woman-Owned Business” certificate program on Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the College Hall dining room, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell. The program is sponsored by Harleysville National Bank in partnership with the College’s Continuing Education division. For information or to register for the open house, call 215-641-6397.
The 12-week “Starting a Successful Woman-Owned Business” certificate program is designed to encourage women to develop their business ideas into a roadmap for success. Taught by a successful woman entrepreneur, the program enables participants to get practical knowledge about what it takes to make it as a business owner while being exposed to subject-matter experts across a wide range of business topics. Participants will also go through a business planning process, and will receive course certification upon successful completion of a business plan.
“Starting a Successful Woman-Owned Business” classes will meet on Tuesdays from Feb. 23-May 18 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the College’s Central Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell. The cost of the program is $495, which includes the course textbook.
For individuals who are not sure if business ownership is for them, the College will offer a seminar, titled “Woman Owned Business: Are You Ready to Be an Entrepreneur?” on Tuesday, Feb. 16 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Central Campus in Blue Bell. The cost of the seminar is $49.
