Montgomery County Community College’s Brendlinger Library will sponsor a book discussion from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31 in the Central Campus Bookstore. Sociology Instructor Dr. Augustine Isamah will lead a discussion of Race Manners for the 21st Century: Navigating the Minefield Between Black and White Americans in an Age of Fear by Bruce A. Jacobs. The discussion is held in preparation of Jacob’s public keynote address on Tuesday, April 6 at 12:30 p.m. in the Science Center Theater at the College’s Central Campus in Blue Bell. Originally published in 1999 and updated and reissued in 2007, Race Manners explores the preconceptions people hold that prevent a genuine dialog about race in America.
The discussions are free of charge and are open to the public. For information, call 215-619-7480 or email mparkins@mc3.edu.
